Irma Bauman worked hard to help Mordy make Indian Hill a reality. Here’s a letter from her, explaining why she supports this documentary project:
Dear Friend of Indian Hill:
I love the trailer for INDIAN HILL SUMMER, and feel lucky that Thomas Kaufman is producing. He’s an Emmy Award-winning documentary director/cameraman in Washington, D.C., with a strong track record in Public Television and other forms of distribution.
Thomas is also a grandchild of Joe Klein, one of Mordy’s and my dear friends who helped us start Indian Hill. We all know that Indian Hill was a model for arts education, an example of how committed teachers changed the lives of their young students in a positive way. That’s why we need this film.
After you’ve considered your own contribution, you can also help by expanding the network of potential supporters. If you can introduce this project to any foundations, corporations, or philanthropists, I hope you’ll get in touch with the filmmaker. You can email Thomas here. He’ll appreciate hearing your reactions to the preview and about your experiences at Indian Hill.
P.S. Join me in contributing to the film, and enjoy the trailer as a preview of our efforts together!
